Musbah Shaat obtained his PhD degree on signal theory and communications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) [1], Barcelona-Spain, in 2012. He received his master in degree in communication and electronics engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) [2] and an engineering degree major in communication and control from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) [3] in 2007 and 2004 respectively. He is currently a senior researcher in the department of arrays and multi-sensors processing at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), Barcelona-Spain.
He has participated in several European projects (FANTASTIC-5G, SANSA, ACROPOLIS, and PHYDYAS), national projects (ELISA, TERESA, ARCO5G) and project with industry (NB-IoTSAT). Co-Supervised 1 PhD thesis, and supervised 4 MSc theses and 2 BSc graduation projects. He is a regular reviewer and TPC member in several international journal and conferences. He is an IEEE senior member.
His main research interests include but limited to multi-carrier wireless communications, cross layer optimization, cognitive radio systems, satellite communications, cooperative and green communications.
