Work with us

The CTTC is located in the Mediterranean Park of Technology (PMT) in Castelldefels, a scientific and technological parc that hosts one of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – Barcelona Tech (UPC) campuses as well as several research institutes, start-ups and incubator facilities for technology-based companies. Other services like the student residence, library and cafeteria are available on campus.

PMT is conveniently accessible by public transport, including train services and several bus lines with on campus stops. It is also well communicated by car, at 10 minutes’ drive from the airport and 10 minutes’ walk from the beach and Castelldefels city center. The campus is at very close distance to primary/high schools and kindergartens, including public and top international schools (with English or French as primary language).

We have 2 buildings in the campus, with state-of-the-art experimental and development facilities, comfortable personal workspaces, accompanied by numerous multi-purpose rooms, auditoriums, and social spaces to stimulate interaction.

CTTC’s multicultural environment is present from its creation in 2001, with more than 130 people welcome as staff members (both research and administrative) from all over the World. Another of CTTC’s main believes is that its major asset lies on its people.

Thus, high quality standards for research policies and career development are in place, with the UNE 166002 on R&D management systems being awarded by AENOR and the HR Excellence in Research being awarded (2015) from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute’s commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers in the framework of the HRS4R Human Resources Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. As a CERCA center, CTTC is  adhered to CERCA’s code of conduct.
