CTTC and KTL to sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the MWC22 to foster collaboration in 5G/5G+/6G mobile communication technologies

On March 1, 2022, the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) and the CTTC will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2022. The signing ceremony will be attended by top officers from both institutions.  The cooperation activities envisaged in the MoU include information exchange regarding 5G mobile communication technologies, analysis of technology trends, discussion of global standardization trends, joint research of wireless communications and networks, promotion of 5G ecosystem growth, and other areas regarding next-generation mobile communications. Furthermore, the Parties may seek to encourage and develop collaborative R&D activities. As a first step towards these goals, a technical follow-up meeting will also be organized in the same week. The meeting is aimed at exchanging ideas and expertise on the evolution of current mobile communication networks towards 6G.

 KTL is a non-profit organization and a certification body nationally designated by the government of the Republic of Korea for testing, inspection, and certification services. KTL carries out research and development activities and is committed to supporting the mobile ecosystem such as 5G, 5G+, and 6G.
