Carlos Hernández Chulde received the engineering degree in Electronic and Information Networks from the National Polytechnic School (Ecuador) in 2015. In 2017, he obtained his master’s degree in Applied Telecommunications and Engineering Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree working as research assistant in the Optical Network and Systems department of CTTC.

He worked for different companies and government institutions in Ecuador. His work experience has always been linked to ICTs. He holds some technical certifications from networking and virtualization vendors such as Cisco and VMware.

His research interests include network slicing, SDN, NFV and machine learning.
