Husnain Shahid received his BSc in Electrical (Telecommunication) Engineering from GC University Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2017, MSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2019 and PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. From Oct 2018 to Aug 2019, he also served as Research and Development Internee at Shanghai BeiDou Research Institute , where his research was focused on Localization and Mapping using Radar. From Sept 2019 to Oct 2020,he worked as Research Assistant at Fudan University, Shanghai, where he was involved in the topics of Signal/Image Reconstruction, Deep Learning and Compressed Sensing.  From March 2023, he is with Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) as a Researcher. 

He has actively contributed in several projects funded by European Commission, European Union Agency for Space Programme (EUSPA) in the domain of Signal Processing in Satellite Navigation, Non- Terrestrial Networks (NTN) Communication. Some of them are ONSMAPlus, 6G-NTN, TRANTOR and ATRIA etc. 

As of yet, he has been published in various international conferences and peer reviewed journals and won numerous research fellowships and grants including:
