Low-cost Hydrogen Gas Sensor: Revolutionizing Interplanetary Exploration

Ico_CTTC

Following to a recent memorandum of understanding signed between CTTC and the Korean Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) for international cooperation and joint research towards interplanetary exploration, CTTC will deliver a jointly developed compact hydrogen gas sensor prototype to KIGAM. The small size, low weight and low cost sensor prototype is tailor made for integration onto an unmanned ground vehicle used for space exploration and future colonization. The sensor robustness to moderate vibrations, and ease of integration with other sensors, makes it particularly suitable for sensors embarked in ground or airborne vehicles. The sensor prototype will be integrated and aimed to form part of a drone embedded weather station.
