Data protection information about the CTTC applications process

a) Registration

You do not have to provide any personal data in order to simply view job vacancies.

However, applying for a position is only possible using our CTTC job portal. To do this, you first must fill the application with your first and last name and your e-mail address all of them required fields, among others such as your address, your date of birth, academic achievements, or telephone numbers. You can also upload documents here, such as CVs, cover letter, application portfolio, reference, and other corresponding documents

Then, you will confirm that you have read and understood the data protection policy that applies to the CTTC application process by ticking the relevant box. If you do not confirm this, you cannot continue with the application process.

Any entries you make in the CTTC job portal are voluntary, apart from the mandatory fields which are marked with an asterisk (*).

b) Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for data collection and processing is CTTC using your information to decide whether to enter an employment relationship with you.

c) Applications

Only the HR department have access to your profile and application data. This right to access your information remains after the application process has finished and ends when you decide to close your user account or revoke your consent to your personal data processing

d) Limitation on use and transfer of personal data

We use your profile and application data exclusively as part of the selection process to fill a vacancy, and so, for recruitment purposes only. We are storing this data in our HR application tracking system, which stores data in the EU and is fully compliant with EU data protection laws, and we will not share it with anyone else.

e) Data storage and deletion

We would like to keep this data until our open role is filled. We cannot estimate the exact period, but we will consider this period over when a candidate accepts our job offer. When that period is over, we will either delete your data or inform you that we will keep it in our database for future roles in order for you to manifest consent.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed about the data that relates to you and the right to correct your data. Provided that there are no statutory regulations to the contrary, you also have the right to delete and block your data, as well as the right to object to the processing of your data. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability.

If we collect and process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you also have the right to revoke the consent you granted. In order to do so, or to exercise your rights in relation to your data, please contact our DPO through dpo@cttc.cat.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint about the way we handle your data through the AEPD, APDCAT.

Please note that you will be unable to apply to CTTC without your data being processed.
