CTTC is offering Starting Research Contracts for one year so that you can experiment working for a research lab. This is a great opportunity if you are a highly motivated student, with a strong desire to learn and interest in performing cutting edge research in a truly international R&D center.
Conducting your research at CTTC will give you the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers in the group and access cutting-edge testbeds and experimental infrastructure. You will also be encouraged to take part in the daily activities of the research units, helping you develop a broad set of skills, not only technical expertise but also soft skills such as oral communication, enabling you to effectively present the significance and impact of your work to diverse audiences. Students under this framework enjoy a standard contract with CTTC, becoming part of its staff and have the same benefits as the rest of CTTC members. CTTC encourages and supports starting research students to participate in scientific events, R&D projects and experimental development.
We are continuously looking for highly motivated students, aiming at significantly improving his/her career perspectives in both public and private sectors. We recommend you identify a topic of your interest, and feel free to directly contact CTTC’s research staff to learn more about it.
The Starting Research Contract program typically opens twice a year (end of January/February and end of August/September). These calls are regularly published under the general Job Openings section.
You must be enrolled in (or have completed) an official Master program that provides subsequent access to a PhD program according to the Spanish legal regulations. Selected candidates are free to choose their preferred research unit (RU) and supervisor within the CTTC research staff.
Starting Research Contract includes the possibility for you to enroll in a PhD Program with PhD fees paid by CTTC.
