If you would like to bring your research work to a new level, we offer you state-of-the art research infrastructure and support facilities to develop your research to its full potential. We also offer CTTC’s background and experience in project management and dealing with public funding applications, as well as more than 20 years of Human Resources team helping researchers coming from abroad to settle in Barcelona area and supporting them with administrative and residence processes. Do not hesitate to send your Expression of Interest (EoI) indicating the Research Unit that would fit best your interest. They include ERC Grants, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, ICREA Research Professors, Beatriu Pinós, Ramón y Cajal, etc.

Expressions of Interest are open to candidates of any nationality fulfilling the program’s eligibility and mobility criteria:

ERC grants support talented scientists who have already produced excellent work and show potential to be a research leader and to pursue ground-breaking research.

CTTC has implemented an ERC Mentoring program, providing individual mentoring and specialized seminars given by external consultants.

Deadlines are typically around the same time each year.

  • ERC Starting Grant (StG) – deadline usually in autumn.
  • ERC Consolidator Grant (CoG) – deadline usually in the winter.
  • ERC Advanced Grant (AdG) – deadline usually late summer.
  • ERC Synergy Grant (SyG) – deadline usually in late autumn.
  • Several ERC Proof of Concept (PoC) deadlines, typically two or three throughout the year.

Currently, CTTC participates in the ERC Proof of Concept UNIDACT on universal data compression.

The European Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to engage in R&D projects by either coming to Europe from any country in the world or moving within Europe. The standard duration of these fellowships must be between 12 and 24 months.

This program expects the supported postdoctoral fellows:

  • To increase the set of research and transferable skills and competences, leading to improved employability and career prospects of MSCA postdoctoral fellows within academia and beyond;
  • New mind-sets and approaches to R&I work forged through international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary experience;
  • Enhanced networking and communication capacities with scientific peers, as well as with the general public that will increase and broaden the research and innovation impact.

The Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) is a foundation supported by the Catalan Government created to attract and retain in Catalonia the top talented scientists and academics. As part of the Catalan public research system, CTTC supports ICREA by acting as a host institution. We offer ICREA research professors a talented research team, highly experienced in the leadership and development of collaborative R&D projects and technology transfer, a world class experimental facilities in telecommunications engineering and geomatics covering terrestrial and non-terrestrial segments, supported by a dedicated and experienced professional team in project management and Human Resources highly experienced in relocation and VISA support.
