The CTTC, represented by Dr. Mònica Navarro and Mr. Albert Sitjà, participated, among the different international experts, in the #VEHICLES7YFN event, which took place on June 21 and 22 in Bilbao.
AMETIC, the business association of the Spanish technological and digital sector, of which the CTTC is member, in collaboration with Normann Partners, organized # VEHICLES7YFN, a Think Tank on the future of the autonomous, connected vehicle and sustainable mobility in Europe.
50 international experts – representatives of companies, European public bodies, technology centers and transnational entities – discussed the future of mobility in the continent, the evolution towards the autonomous and connected car of tomorrow, the main technological challenges to face and the keys to overcome possible deviations or risks.
Among the issues addressed by this international Think Tank are the integration of the connected vehicle with logistics, smartcities and the digital home; the main innovations in energy and mobility; the evolution of the most advanced communications technologies; geolocation systems including the new constellation of satellites; European legislation and regulation; the geostrategy; and the new business models of the shared and autonomous vehicle, both public and private, that put the citizen in the center.
The conclusions of this meeting of 50 multidisciplinary experts will materialize in a document with the keys of the different scenarios of mobility in Europe and the challenges to face in the next seven years, both by the different local and European Public Administrations and the industry.
