We are looking forward to the work session by ETSI Industry Specification Group (ISG) on Multiple Access Techniques (MAT), hosted by CTTC next 8-9 of October. The European standardization body ETSI is an organization that produces globally applicable standards for ICT-enabled systems, applications and services. The ISG technical groups are one the tools designed by ETSI to operate on a specific technology area and provide an effective alternative to industry fora.

During the two-day meeting, the ETSI Industry Specification Group (ISG) on Multiple Access Techniques (MAT) will host ISG officials and group members working towards the ISG goals on exploring candidate multiple access techniques for 6G mobile networks. This ISG is specially focused on developing solutions for high demand downlink scenarios to enhance transmission efficiency across key network parameters. Discussing recent results and technical proposals, new work items and the updated ISG work programme, are among the goals set for the meeting.

As founding member, CTTC continues to advance key technologies for 6G infrastructure, notably participating:

  • with contributions to the Group Report being prepared for 3GPP.
  • in the validation of Rate-Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA) gains over other multiple access technologies such as orthogonal/non-orthogonal multiple access (OMA/NOMA) or spatial multiplexing (SDMA).
