CTTC, Teléfonica I+D and Peer Stritzinger GmbH have successfully demonstrated at IEEE NFV-SDN an Erlang-based Path Computation Element (PCE) able to perform traffic engineering for Segment Routing. Specific scalability and resiliency properties are provided in order to support transport connectivity in beyond 5G networks.

The 2021 IEEE NFV-SDN conference is an important forum for the ongoing exchange of the latest ideas, developments, and results amongst ecosystem partners in both academia and industry. The conference fosters knowledge sharing and discussion on new approaches as well as work addressing gaps and improvements in NFV and SDN-enabled architectures, algorithms, and operational frameworks for virtualized network functions and infrastructures.

Within this conference, the demonstration “Scalable and Resilient Network Traffic Engineering Using Erland-based Path Computation Element” was presented at the Demo Track on November 11th between 12:00 and 14:00CET.
