PRIME-6G (Pilot for Resilient Industrial Manufacturing Environments with 6G Technologies) will develop and validate a sustainable, end-to-end 6G platform blueprint for advanced manufacturing. Built on an integrated Cloud-Edge Continuum architecture, the platform will enable seamless, agile and resilient service provisioning for flexible industrial environments and production from batch size one.
The project will demonstrate its capabilities through two industrial use cases. AURORA will address AI-driven network and computing optimization for collaborative industrial agents, deterministic end-to-end connectivity across hybrid domains, and dynamic placement of cobotic control functions within the Telco Edge Cloud. SENTINEL will combine real-time multimodal sensor fusion with Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) to support robot control, environment mapping and the creation of dynamic digital twins, improving situational awareness and operational efficiency.
A TRL 7 pilot will be conducted at the ARENA 2036 facility in a real manufacturing environment. The pilot will validate relevant SNS Key Performance and Value Indicators and demonstrate the benefits of PRIME-6G to industrial stakeholders. By delivering a mature, close-to-market solution and a clear business case, PRIME-6G will promote the adoption and exploitation of 6G technologies in manufacturing, address concrete industrial challenges and support the creation of a sustainable business ecosystem.
