The objective of this project is to design and implement a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for subway trains and station platforms which enables the opening operation of automatic doors. The project includes a feasibility study of different radio technologies, hardware and firmware design of wireless nodes, and proof-of-concept testing under realistic conditions.
