CTTC is working in a collaborative project with Huawei-Sweden in the context of next-generation, virtualized, and multi-vendor RAN architectures. The research focuses on the design of efficient methods to reduce resource utilization on the fronthaul interface with reasonably low air interface performance degradation by means of the so-called compression techniques.
