Aula ExperienTia, a University Extension Class for Seniors, is a new initiative in Castelldefels aimed at people over 55 years of age who want to continue learning and sharing knowledge.
At CTTC, we are especially proud to being part of the project and the collaboration with the Castelldefels City Council and the Aula ExperienTia association. Hosting Aula ExperienTia at CTTC connects us with values that we share: the knowledge sharing and transfer in groups with great experience, curiosity and the commitment to lifelong learning. This is also an exciting opportunity to engage CTTC’s researchers with Castelldefels citizens by contributing to conferences to follow.
The inaugural conference, attended by over 100 people, was devoted to “Climate change and emerging diseases”, given by Dr. Antoni Trilla i Garcia, professor of Epidemiology and dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB, and consultant to the Catalan, Spanish and European governments during the pandemic.
The inauguration was conducted by the president of the Aula ExperienTia Ms. Isabel Ruiz, and the representatives from the City council of Castelldefels and the CTTC, Mr. Nico Cerpa and Dr. Monica Navarro, respectively.
