From 19 to 22 May 2026, the F5G-F2F#26 Meeting will be co-located with the TFS#9 Hackfest at CTTC in Castelldefels, Barcelona. CTTC hosts a series of ETSI meetings, bringing together key stakeholders in the evolution of next-generation fixed and transport networks.
The week will feature three main sessions:
- ETSI F5GTEST-F2F#08: Tuesday 19 May (morning)
- ETSI F5G-F2F#26: Tuesday 19 May (afternoon) to Friday 22 May (midday)
- ETSI Joint Session F5G–TFS: Thursday 21 May (afternoon)
The ETSI ISG F5G (Fifth Generation Fixed Network) group focuses on shaping the future of fixed network infrastructures. Its work aims to define next-generation architectures, promote full-fibre connectivity, and support advanced services requiring high reliability, low latency, and guaranteed quality of service.
Furthermore, ETSI SDG TeraFlow (TFS) drives innovation in software-defined networking (SDN) for high-capacity transport networks. It focuses on cloud-native controller frameworks, automation, AI-driven optimisation, and scalable multi-domain network management.
By hosting these co-located events, CTTC provides a collaborative environment to advance standardisation efforts and accelerate the development of future network technologies.
