Who are we looking for?
The Navigation & Positioning (N&P) Research Unit is looking for a researcher to work in the field of software-defined radio technology for satellite-based navigation receivers. In particular, the selected candidate will work on developing and validating new GNSS signal receiver chains in the framework of the open-source project GNSS-SDR, with focus on GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS receivers. The role spans development of signal processing blocks and their corresponding validation procedures in automated environments.

Qualifications and Experience
- We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic person, aiming at significantly improving his or her career perspectives in both public and private sectors. The successful applicant should have the competencies of R2 category.
- Required qualification/skills/experience: the successful applicant should have a MSc degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, and 5 years in the profession that accredit experience, competency, and relevance.
- Good knowledge of C and/or Modern C++ for Linux-based systems.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Experience in IT automation platforms.
- Experience in projects for the IT industry.
- Demonstrable skills in GNSS-SDR usage, development, or its inclusion in Continuous Integration systems.
- Other skills that are valuable, but not mandatory are:
- Implementation skills with Free Open-Source Software (FOSS) for software-defined radio (GNU Radio, GNSS-SDR, etc.).
- Good knowledge of analytical skills in the area of Global Navigation Satellite Systems.
