Biografía
Onur Tan received the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey in 2007 and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 2010, respectively. In 2007, he was granted with Bilkent University scholarship and TUBITAK scholarship for graduate studies in Turkey. From September 2007 until June 2010, he was a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University. During that time, he also worked in a research project funded by TUBITAK and in cooperation with Bilkent University and Meteksan Company. Currently he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering at CTTC (Centre Tecnòlogic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya) and at Signal Theory and Communications Department of UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), Barcelona, Spain. He joined the CTTC in November 2011 and he is working in Access Technologies Area. His research interests lie in the areas of wireless communications with special emphasis on privacy, security and smart grids.
