The goal of this project is to create the technology and know-how to turn vehicles and roads into a smart environment. This "smart environment" is characterized by: ubiquitous communication, ubiquitous computing, context awareness (weather condition, road condition, traffic) as well as general awareness of persons, safety and privacy.

The CTTC contribution to the project focuses on the development of communication devices and systems for both intra and inter-vehicular communications. In particular, we will design onboard car antennas, channel models for vehicular communications, channel emulation tests and cooperative communications.
