The International Complementary Action (ACI) GAUDI aims at cooperate with Japan for the exchange of knowledge,  technological experience and researchers in relation with the R&D activities performed in the Spanish project RESPLANDOR, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC), and with the CTTC's ADRENALINE testbed. Specifically, the cooperation is performed with the Network Architecture group (led by Dr. Hiroaki Harai) from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT - http://www.nict.go.jp). The NICT leads the JGN2 project, an open testbed network which aims to realize the research and development for Information Communication Technology in Japan. This ACI is focused on impairment-aware traffic engineering and control requirements for intelligent all-optical wavelength-routed Networks.
