Bio
Manuel Requena Esteso (1974) finished with honours a M.Sc. in Computer Science at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV) in 1998. He got his thesis in France at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications (ENSEA). He is nowadays studying a Ph.D. at the Technical University of Catalunya (UPC) within the Computer Architecture Department (DAC).
He worked five years as a Software Engineer for Atos Origin Integration (France) developing Telecommunication Software Solutions. Nowadays, he forms part of the CTTC's Engineering Unit working within the Areas of Optical Networking and IP Technologies. He works as a collaborator of the CTTC for industrial and R&D projects in wireless and optical networking: FREEDOM for AMENA/Grupo AUNA, EUREKA (TBONES) and IST (NOBEL).
His current research interests include design and implementation of networking protocols for self-organized wireless mesh networksand all-IP heterogeneous environments, as well as for GMPLS optical networks.
