Bio
Josep Mangues-Bafalluy is Research Associate and coordinates the activities of the IP Technologies Area of the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) since June 2003. Projects in which he is currently or has been involved: Freedom (industrial), WIP (IST-FP6), Planets (EUREKA), Cooperation with Univ. Mohammed V-Agdal (Integrated Action), EXTREME Testbed (CTTC-internal).
He received the degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 1996 and the PhD degree in Telecommunications in 2003, both from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). In 1995, he obtained an Erasmus grant for the realization of his master thesis in the National Higher Education Engineering School of Electricity, Electronics, Computer Science and Hydraulics of Toulouse (ENSEEIHT) in France.
From 1997 to May 2003 he worked as researcher in the Broadband Communications Research Group of the Department of Computer Architecture and the Advanced Broadband Communications Center (CCABA) of UPC. Since 1999 until May 2003, he has also been assistant professor at the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) of UPC where he taught topics related with computer networking and computer architecture basics. He has participated in several Regional (I2CAT), Spanish (SABA, SABA2, SAM) and EC funded (INFOWIN, LONG) projects.
His research interest areas include Mobility, Self-organized networks, and wireless network performance measurements.
