Bio
Jaime Ferragut holds a BEng and a MEng in Electrical Engineering from the Universitat de les Illes Balears and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, respectively. In 2005 he spent a year at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as a SICUE-Séneca scholar. During 2006 and 2007 he worked as an Information and Communication Technologies Engineer at the European Space Agency (Frascati, Italy) in the areas of Network Infrastructure and Network Security. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as a 3.5G Embedded Software Engineer at Nokia (London, United Kingdom) in the WCDMA Radio Access Network L1 team. In September 2009 he joined CTTC to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Dr. Josep Mangues-Bafalluy. His research topics cover self-organizing networks (SONs), mobility management in 4G systems, and new architectures for multi-hop cellular networks (including WCDMA and LTE/LTE-A femtocells).
