Bio
Javier Arribas (1980) was born in Barcelona, Spain. He obtained his B.Sc. degree and the M.Sc degree in Telecommunication Engineering from La Salle School of Engineering (Ramon Llull University), in 2002 and 2004 respectively.
From January 2004 to September 2005 he worked as Teaching Assistant on Electronic Measurements subject at the Communications and Signal Theory Department. From February 2005 to December 2007 he worked at Nadir Mobile Systems Engineering Company as a founding partner and Engineering section director.
He currently collaborates with La Salle Communications and Signal Theory Department as an M.Sc Thesis advisor. At this time he directed 9 B.Sc Theses and 1 M.Sc Thesis related to SalleSat pico-satellite development project.
In January 2008, he joined to the CTTC PhD fellowship programme. He is now a PhD candidate at the UPC's Department of Signal Theory and Communications.
His primary areas of interest include statistical and array signal processing, sampling theory, GNSS synchronization, estimation theory and the design of RF front-ends and Software Defined GNSS Receivers.
In addition, he is currently involved in the SalleSat Cubesat development project at La Salle Engineering school of Barcelona.
