Bio
Faouzi Bader is a graduate in Electronic Engineering, with major in Communication, of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences (University Mentouri of Constantine, Algeria, 1996), and has completed his Ph. D degree in November 2002 at ETSI of Telecommunication of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM, Spain). Since December 2002, he is Associate Researcher at CTTC's Access Technologies Area.
Prior to joining CTTC, he was a member of the Applied Signal Processing Group (GAPS) at the ETSI of Telecommunication (UPM, 1998-2000), where he developed an hexagonal pilot pattern and MUD detection for a MC-CDMA system in uplink transmission mode. He has also worked as Development Engineer (Massana Technologies, Spain, 2000-2001), where he was involved in the development of a Gigabit Network prototype.
His primary research interests areas include the Multi-Carrier Spread Spectrum (MC-SS), OFDM, MC-CDMA UTRA-TDD/FDD, ADSL, VHSL and UMTS systems, channel estimation, multiple access strategies, synchronization and MUD.
