Bio
Ernesto A. Ibarra Ramirez, was born in Chitre, Republic of Panama. Gradueted in 2007 in Biomedical Engineering from “Universidad Latina de Panama". In the 2009 he was benefitted with a doctoral scholarship granted by SENACYT (Panamanian Government). He obtained a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering (2010) from Barcelona University. He is currently a doctoral student in biomedicine at the University of Barcelona in the area of telemedicine.
From 2007-2009 he worked as technical support engineer at two medical equipment distributor in Panama. Member of IEEE Panama Section (since 2005) and the EMBS (since 2008).
He develops the doctoral thesis about Energy Harvesting for Body Sensor Protocols under the colaboration and direction of Christos Verikouskis Ph.D and supervision of Manel Puig Ph.D. His areas of interest are: Energy Harvesting, Body Sensors, Body Area Networks, Radiation and Human Health.
