Bio
David López (Granollers, 1978) received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2005.
Between March 2003 and March 2005 he held an internship position at Mier Comunicaciones S.A. working in the frame of European Space Agency’s ARTES programmes projects: From march 2003 to September 2003 he worked for the AMHERIS (DVB Payload equipment) RF-IF Down-Converter EQM qualification readiness. Then he worked for the project "T/R modules for active antennas" as MMIC designer until March 2005.
From April 2005 to October 2006 he joined Alcatel Alenia Space España S.A. as RF design, integration, and test engineer at Tx/Bx and RF Modules Department: Between April 2005 and October 2005 he was responsible for the Galileo Global Navigation System S-Band TTC Transponder MMIC qualification campaign technical documentation readiness. From October 2005 to October 2006 he designed the UHF section of "ICO next-generation Mobile Satellite Service" Up and Down Converters and he participated in the equipments integration and test operations.
Since November 2006, he is a Research Engineer at CTTC where he works in the GEDOMIS (MIMO wireless system demonstrator) RF hardware development.
