Bio
Ana Galindo-Serrano received her telecommunication and electronic engineering degree from Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverria (ISPJAE), La Habana, 2007, with a graduation thesis concerning WIMAX Networks design. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Signal Theory and Communication department (TSC) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona. During her career she visited "Université de Avignon" (Avignon, France, 2010). She has been awarded with CTTC´s PhD fellowship since November 2007 and in October 2010 by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovations. Two of her publications have received the best paper award in IEEE CCNC 2010 and IEEE IOFC 2011. She is working in the Access Technologies Area and her research interests include Self-organized systems, distributed systems, Reinforcement Learning, Q-learning, Femtocell networks and Cognitive Radio.
