The session will focus on theoretical and practical issues concerning the development of multiple 3GPP and non-3GPP access technologies (LTE/LTE-A, femtocells, WLAN, etc.) and their integration with EPC. Current state, next milestones and future research challenges will be discussed, with special emphasis on the following aspects: the growth in mobile data and service providing, and its implications on the mobile network architecture, the network architecture mismatch between the 3GPP and the data networking community, traffic offloading strategies, etc.

Light refreshments will be served to panelists and general attendees.

For those interested to attend a shuttle bus will be provided to transport attendees from the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to the CTTC Demo Centre, and back. The bus will leave from the MWC (Plaça d'Espanya) at 12:30, and will return to the MWC at 15:15. The Panel Discussion will start at 13:00 (sharp), Durantion – 1:50h.
