On 11-12 of June the 2nd edition of the "International Workshop on Cross-Layer Design" (IWCLD 2009) will be held in Mallorca, Spain. In this international congress, the researchers will present their works about Cross-Layer design techniques, based on an exchange of information between the different layers that constitutes a communications system to obtain performance gains. The conference, jointly organized by the CTTC and UPC, has the technical support of IEEE Communication Society and EURASIP.

Research on cross-layer design motivates collaboration among researchers from different areas, such as antenna design, propagation characterization, signal processing, coding, scheduling, networking, etc. This paves the way to innovative solutions for next generation wireless communications systems.
