The Engineering Unit supports and complements CTTC's research activities with the aim of serving the telecommunications industry with the latest technological advances in the field, as well as providing state-of-the-art technological orientation and assistance regarding the practical deployment and experimentation of research concepts and ideas conceived by the Research Areas.

The Unit provides both the telecommunications industry and CTTC's Research Areas with the capacity to build pre-competitive demonstrators and testbeds enabling the validation of industrial research and technological innovation activities.

The Unit plays a crucial role in leading and expanding CTTC's research activities so as to foster a culture of sustainable industrial innovation in strategic business fields.
